A trip to Disneyland is on just about every child’s wish list. It is a time to ride fun rides, see Disney characters, and eat things that are in the shape of Mickey Mouse. There is a lot to think about & hopefully, you will find these Disneyland tips helpful!
5 Best Disneyland Tips for a Great Trip in 2024
Use these tips to help you have a magical trip to Disneyland:
1. Buy Discount Disneyland Tickets BEFORE Your Trip
The first thing you need to know is that you should purchase your Disneyland Ticket(s) in advance from a reputable Disney Ticket Seller.
You don’t want to waste time standing in a ticket line at the park.
You are going to find that the longer you go to Disneyland, the cheaper the ticket price will be per day.
And if you stay on Disneyland property and book a Disneyland package, you will save even more.
Get Adults at Kids’ Prices on all 3-Day or longer Disneyland® Resort tickets and 3-Day or longer Walt Disney World® Resort tickets when you book through Get Away Today! You can take an additional $10 discount off your vacation package when you use our exclusive promo code INSIDER .
Insider Tip: Once you have your ticket, take a photo of the back of your ticket with your phone.
If you were to lose your ticket, this is the only way to be able to trace it. Guest Relations can replace any lost ticket if they have the right information.
2. Get to Disneyland Early
One of our best Disneyland tips is getting to the park early!
You will want to make sure that you get to Disneyland before it opens.
This will allow you to get to be one of the first to ride the rides allowing you to avoid the longer lines that grow throughout the day.
If you are staying on Disney Property, you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours.
This is a time when only Disneyland resort guests can enter the park.
3. Use the Disneyland Genie+ Lightning Lane System
For those unfamiliar with Genie+ & Lightning Lane, this is a way for you to “Jump the line” so to speak for certain rides & attractions.
Disney Genie+ service is available for $20 per ticket per day. This is, of course, in addition to the regular ticket price.

4. Order Food Online to avoid Lines
Many of the quick service restaurants will allow you to order your meals online through the Disney Mobile Ordering section of the My Disney Experience app.
Take advantage of this by grabbing a table, placing an order, and picking it up at the counter.
Not only will you avoid the line, but you won’t feel rushed.
5. Enjoy a Meal with Disney Characters
One of the best ways to meet a lot of characters at one time is with a Disney character meal.
Plaza Inn serves breakfast daily & is located inside Disneyland Park, off Main Street near Tomorrowland.
It offers the largest selection of characters you can meet in one place while also enjoying a meal.
Don’t forget to bring your autograph book and pen so that characters can sign!
We hope that these Disneyland tips help you when you are planning your Disneyland vacation.

We will be going to Disneyland in Anaheim on April using complementary tickets from my sister in law who retired from D'land. When I go to mydisneyexperience.com I cannot recognize which one is the Anaheim Park. It would be helpful if all of the various Disney iterations had the country or city listed next to the name. Which is the one at Anaheim?? Thank you
