If you have a little girl who loves the Little Mermaid, you are going to want to book a stay in a Art of Animation Resort Little Mermaid room. This Disney Resort makes you feel like you have stepped right into the animated movie.
First of all, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is sectioned into different areas: Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid.
While the other three wings have family suites that sleep up to six, the Little Mermaid rooms are standard rooms that sleep up to four
When you get to Art of Animation Resort, you will have no trouble finding your way to the Little Mermaid wing of rooms.
The entire outside of the set of Little Mermaid wing features an underwater theme with giant statues of Ariel, Ursula and King Triton.
Inside Art of Animation Little Mermaid Room
The Art of Animation Little Mermaid Rooms are designed with the concept of being part of Ariel’s world. From floor to ceiling, you will feel like you are under the sea!
Take a look at the super cute headboards on the double beds shaped like clam shells. The pearl in the center of the shell actually lights up!
You will find Flounder & Sebastian floating on the wall and even a picture of Prince Eric at the Helm of a ship.
Every part of this room fits with the overall theme and you feel like you have stepped right in the animated movie!
From the carpet to the mirrors, and even the bathroom makes you feel like you are under the sea!
They really were right on the mark with the overall design & details in these rooms. We absolutely loved staying in the Art of Animation Little Mermaid rooms.
While Art of Animation Resort is considered a value resort, it is a bit more per night than other Disney Value Resorts.
Despite this, we felt like it was still a great deal considering it is one of the newer Disney resorts and has great features like a large pool and one of our favorite quick-service restaurants on property.
Have you stayed at Art of Animation’s Little Mermaid Rooms? What did you think of it?

AOA is by far my favorite of the value resorts! My husband, our two children, and in-laws all stayed in a Finding Nemo Family Suite. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and the theming was over the top! My husband and I gave the bedroom to his parents and we stayed in the main living area with our two kids. Two of us slept on the pull down Murphy bed and the other two of us slept on the sleeper sofa. Having two bathrooms for all of us was an added bonus. While the family suites are more expensive than the Little Mermaid rooms, if you are going with a larger family or are a couple wanting a little privacy from the kids at night, you will want to check out AOA!

Thanks, Carrie. I have friends that stayed in the Finding Nemo Suite and loved it. Can't wait to try it myself!
