If you are traveling to Disney on a budget, you might be looking at some of their value resorts. Disney World All Star Movies Resort is one of the choices you will have and it is perfect for fans of Toy Story.
Disney’s All Star Movies Resort is divided into three pairs of 5 themed buildings: 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, The Love Bug, Mighty Ducks, Toy Story.
The Toy Story Building is one of the favorites and if you request to stay in this building, you will want to book your stay well in advance.
Other buildings were similarly themed, but a bit outdated.
What you will find at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort
This is a Disney Value Resort which means that it doesn’t have all the bell and whistles of the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts.
There are pools (no slides), an arcade, gift shop and a dining hall.
All Star Movie Resort Room
All rooms at the Disney All Star Resorts are pretty standard.
There are typically two beds, on of which is a murphy bed that pulls down at night, a flat screen TV, mini fridge and a dresser.
The bathroom is sectioned off by a sliding door and has one sink and a separate area for the shower and toilet.
There are complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.
Fantasia Pool
The main pool for the resort is themed after Fantasia where you will find a Sorcerer Mickey Foutain.
At night, they play movies on a large drop-down screen so you can literally watch the movie from the pool.
Campfires also take place just behind the pool.
World Premiere Food Court
There is only one restaurant for all of the All Star Resorts. World Premiere Food Court serves up American favorites like Burgers, Meatball Subs and Pizza.
If you are looking for a little more substance, you can enjoy Citrus-Basil Salmon or Beef and Vegetable Stir-fry.
All Star Movies Resort Review
My overall opinion is that if you are travelling on a budget, a Disney Value Resort is a good option.
While not our favorite of Disney’s value resorts (that would be Pop Century), if you are planning on only being in your room long enough to sleep, your accommodations really don’t matter.
Those looking for a more traditional Disney experience and can pay a little more per night, might want to check out Art of Animation.
Art of Animation is also considered a Value Resort but feels more like a moderate because of the amenities it offers.
Have you stayed at All Star Movies Resort? What was your impression?

We stayed at All Star Movies last time we went to Disney (Nov-Dec 2018) and I have to say that it was the WORST resort we've stayed at out all the WDW resorts we've been to. The rooms are tiny. When you pull the Murphy bed down, it's even smaller.
The cast members were the least friendly, too. We were late checking out because of bad advice we'd gotten from a concierge. And while I'm at the desk trying to straighten it out so I wasn't charged for an extra day, the manager was at our room scaring my kids because he's telling them we need to get out of the room. It was only 10 minutes past 11:00.
The buses were awful. Movies shares a bus with Music & Sports. The first stop is at Sports, then Music, then Movies. So by the time the bus reaches Movies, it's usually full and you're left to wait for the next one. On the return trip, the stops are still in the same order, so you're the last to get off the bus.
But the worst part were the walls! They're paper thin. We could hear everything our neighbors were saying, word for word. And it got really bad when they started fighting. The woman was yelling the F word every other word. After 30 nonstop minutes, I finally called down to the front desk. I had kids that didn't need to hear that, and the people were NOT going to let up. Even with the phone on the opposite side of the room, the lady at the front desk could hear the fighting over the phone. She sent security up. We would have been able to get a different room because of it, but they were booked and didn't have any room available.
We couldn't wait to leave! We stayed at Disney for eight days/nights. We only stayed at Movies for four.

I just came back from Disney yesterday. I have to say there is no recpset for DVC Members. The front desk clerk told me they changed the valet policy overnight. The free dinning plan for nov DVC members is what really has me upset. I think we should ban together and get them to something about the meal plan. They want us to purchase additional points. I refuse until they give us something in return. We should at least be entitled to what the general public gets

I understand your frustration. That is the only reason we haven't joined DVC. When heard we would not be able to get FREE Dining, we were very upset.
