Guide to Going to Disney World in March
March is the beginning of spring weather in Florida which makes it a great time to visit the parks! Spring in Florida brings beautiful flowers and lots of sunshine!
Crowds at Disney World in March
While Disney World is crowded nearly every month, March isn’t as bad as some other Spring months in our Disney World crowd calendar.
While there isn’t many events, there are some times you might want to avoid:
- March 12-13 UCA International All-Star Cheer Championship
- March 18-26: Florida Public Schools out for Spring Break (lots of locals)
March Disney World Events
March is an awesome time to visit Disney World! Here are some of the things you can experience:
Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: March 1st-July 5th
This is a free event for those who have tickets to EPCOT and you will be able to see amazing topiaries, experience live music, and taste different small plates at various open-air kitchens throughout the park!
St. Patrick’s Day: March 17
Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Disney Springs will have live Irish bands on the day of St. Patrick’s day and will be serving Green Beer.
Rose & Crown in EPCOT UK Pavilion will also be serving Green Beer along with other Irish specialties.
All Disney Parks will have St. Patrick’s day treats and goodies available for purchase!
March Weather in Disney World
The weather is absolutely beautiful in March with an average high temperature of 79°F (which is pretty mild for Florida)!
While it is sunny most days in March, there could be a brief rain shower in the afternoons. Just make sure that you pack your rain poncho.
What to Wear to Disney World in March
Even if you don’t visit on St. Patrick’s Day, there is no harm in dressing in green during your trip to Disney in March.
I just love this cute Disney-inspired design for St. Patrick’s Day!
You should also note that it will be chillier in the morning and evenings in the parks. Definitely dress in layers or at least bring a lightweight sweater.
Will you be planning a trip to Disney World this Spring?
