EPCOT World Showcase: 11 Countries to Explore

EPCOT is divided into 4 different neighborhoods and one of our favorites is World Showcase. There are 11 World Showcase countries in EPCOT to explore, each with different rides and attractions to experience! Wondering what you can do in EPCOT World Showcase? We have all the information you need to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun.

11 World Showcase Countries in EPCOT

What are the 11 Countries in the World Showcase at EPCOT?

There are 11 countries in EPCOT World Showcase: Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, the United States, Italy, Germany, China, Norway and Mexico.

You can either begin in Canada or Mexico but know that it doesn’t open up to the general public until 11 am each day.

If you want to start your day at the World Showcase, there is a park entrance between the UK & France Pavilion.

You can either walk from the Boardwalk across a bridge or take the Skyliner to this part of the park.

It will take you a good part of your day to get through each of the EPCOT countries, so give yourself enough time so that you don’t have to hurry through them all.

EPCOT World Showcase: 11 Countries in World Showcase

These are the 11 Countries to Explore in EPCOT World Showcase

Each country in the World Showcase has something unique and there are tons of details you will miss if you don’t explore them!

These are the things you will want to do when visiting each country pavilion in the World Showcase:

Mexico Pavilion

Mexico Pavilion

Mexico Pavilion is the first country you can visit if you begin on this side of World Showcase Lagoon.

It is easy to spot as you will find a HUGE Mesoamerican pyramid with a large staircase.

Coco at Mexico Pavilion

Make sure you take time to go inside because it has a small Coco-themed attraction, stores selling traditional Mexican items, San Angel Inn restaurant, and the Gran Fiesta Tour ride!

Gran Fiesta at EPCOT

Little kids will love this easy boat ride which takes guests on a journey with the Three Caballeros to find Donald Duck.

La Cantina de San Angel

There are three main restaurants in the Mexico Pavilion: La Hacienda de San Angel (table service), La Cantina de San Angel (quick service) and San Angel Inn (table service).

Norway Pavilion

Norway Pavilion

Norway Pavilion in EPCOT is one of the most visited. This is because it is where you will find all things FROZEN!

Royal Sommerhus

It is filled with wonderful details and will make you feel like you’ve stepped foot in the fictional world of Arendelle.

Meeting Elsa

In the Norway Pavilion, you can tour The Royal Sommerhus to meet Anna & Elsa, take a voyage into Arendelle on Frozen Ever After Ride, and stop by The Stave Church where you’ll find information about Thor and his ancestors.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Looking for a place to eat with the Princesses? The place to go is Royal Akershus (it is one of best restaurants in EPCOT for breakfast), just be sure to make a reservation in advance.

EPCOT China Pavilion

China Pavilion

Next is the China Pavilion where your journey will begin at the replica of the Temple of Heaven (Bejing).

This area is filled with ways to learn about the different parts of this vast country.

Start your time in the China Pavilion by watching the Reflections of China, a Circle-Vision 360° movie that takes you on a journey through the different terrains and cities of this country.

To the left of the theater is also a room worth exploring that features information and models of Shanghai Disneyland Park.

If you time it right, you may catch the Jeweled Dragon Acrobat show. This pop-up performance features talented acrobats whose agility is highly entertaining!

Germany Pavilion

Germany Pavilion

If you want a beer, bratwurst or caramel in EPCOT, Germany Pavilion is the place to find it!

die Weihnachtsecke in Germany Pavilion

Those who love collecting ornaments should visit die Weihnachtsecke where you can purchase a Christmas Pickle (a German tradition) for your tree.

Karamell Küche in EPCOT

Karamell-Kuche is not only beautiful on the outside, inside you will find all things wrapped in caramel! There are cookies, candies and freshly made caramel corn for guests to enjoy.

German Biergarten Experience

The main restaurant in the Germany Pavilion is Biergarten Restaurant which is a German Buffet that features live music in a setting that is like a traditional German Beer Hall.

Italy Pavilion at Epcot

Italy Pavilion

Modeled after St. Mark’s Square in Venice, the Italian Pavilion takes you back to Ancient Italy.

As you enter the town plaza, you might be lucky enough to stumble upon Live Street Theatre or the resident Mime. Both put on a wonderful show.

Be sure not to miss the Tutto Italia, this signature Italian Restaurant in this part of the park or Villa Napoli for pizza!

American Pavilion in Epcot

American Pavilion

The most overlooked of the EPCOT countries happens to be the American Pavilion.

Even if you think you know all there is about American, you really should take time to walk inside to see the show on American history.

Voices of Liberty at Christmas in Epcot

My favorite time of year to visit the American Pavilion is during EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays because you will be able to see the Voices of Liberty singing Christmas Carols.

Japanese Pavilion

Japan Pavilion

Walking through the Japan Pavillion, you will find it filled with uniquely Japanese architecture.

Take time to explore because there are some amazing things to see here.

Pokemon Display in Mitsukoshi Department Store

If you asked my kids, they would probably say that their favorite part of the EPCOt World Showcase is going to Mitsukoshi Department Store!

Filled with Hello Kitty, Pokemon and other popular Japanese anime toys, this store is a kid’s dream.

Above Mitsukoshi, you will find another one of my favorite restaurants, Teppan Edo.

Outside, you’ll find one of the coolest candy-making demostration at Disney. Miyuki, trained in the art of candy making, can make anything from elephants to frogs! Don’t miss her show!

Morocco Pavilion in Epcot

Morocco Pavilion

If you have never been to Morocco, EPCOT really does a phenomenal job in making you feel as if you are in fact going through the streets of Marrakesh through music, aromas of food, and the hand-crafted items in the shops.

One thing you want to do just for fun is try on a Shikat outfit (traditional Belly Dancing outfit)!

France Pavilion in Epcot

France Pavilion

Rest your legs a bit by having a seat by the town fountain (which makes a great photo opt).

You really must venture into the back of France to find the hidden jewels.

If you would like to try some wine, Vins De France is the place to go for a sample or a glass.

One of the best things about the France pavilion is all the recent changes!

In Impressions de France, you will find an 18-minute film that details all the beautiful features of France part of the day and then a full Beauty and the Beast Sing-a-long the other half of the day!

les artisan des glaces Epcot

No stop in France is complete without a trip to Le Artisans de Glaces for a treat. It is my favorite spots to grab an ice cream.

NEW Remy Topiary at EPCOT

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is one of the most popular rides in EPCOT.

Guests will feel like they’ve shrunk to the size of Chef Remy and scurry through Gusteau’s famous restaurant on a wild adventure.

UK Pavilion in the World Showcase

United Kingdom Pavilion

Once you cross the bridge to “the other side of the pond,” you won’t be able to miss the British Rock Tribute band playing under the gazebo nearest to the Toy Soldier shop.

UK Pavilion at night

You will find Fish & Chips and plenty of English ales nearby!

Want a Stein to take back home? Venture into The Crown and Crest and find the one you like best.

Sportsman Shop in UK Pavilion

Those that have a football, or as Americans call it, Soccer, fan in their group should head over to the Sportsmans’ Shop (the building that looks like Hampton Palace).

Canada Pavilion

Canada Pavilion

If you are in the mood for a good steak while in the World Showcase of EPCOT, you will want to eat at Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion.

Just be sure to make a reservation in advance because this one gets booked quickly!

Canada Pavilion in Epcot

Right outside Le Cellier is a stunning garden where you can take some amazing photos!

If you didn’t get enough music in the UK, check out the bands playing on the stage in Canada. You will be in for a good time!

Where to Meet Mulan at Disney World

Families who are looking forward to meeting Disney characters will find plenty in EPCOT World Showcase. There is nearly one character in each of the 11 countries!

Visiting the World Showcase Countries in EPCOT is a real treat!

If you are traveling with kids and worried they might get bored, make sure that you take smaller children to the Kidcot Fun Stops along the World Showcase. Older kids might enjoy getting their EPCOT Passport stamped at each of the countries in EPCOT.
